Help us to Improve “The Amateur Beekeeper” Newsletter

Hello from the Editorial Team

What is new and why you should have a look inside!

TAB Editor Fiona Fernie

Of course, we hope that you open and read The Amateur Beekeeper, every time it lands in your Inbox. We are bringing you Varroa Destructor updates and a reminder of American Foulbrood Disease and the need to keep it under control. Are we focussing too much on all of the nasties? Keeping bees is all about good honey bee husbandry, so inevitably, we are covering Pests, Diseases and Treatments.

We welcome all of our newer beekeepers and we are including a series of basic techniques to help you to improve your bee handling skills. We would welcome feedback from you as to what you would like to be included in later issues. Is your local club offering training days? Please let us know and we shall include them in the Newsletter.

Another change we have made, is that we shall publish the newsletter containing half of the articles each month. Any time critical stories will be in the first month and then more stories or news the following month. Do you like that format or should we return to a bi-monthly publication?

Please send us a mail with any feedback – this is your magazine and we want all of your comments to help to make it a better magazine. Please feel free to contact editor@beekeepers.asn.au

Sneak Peak at next months issue:

  • Bees and Earthquakes
  • How to Use A Smoker
  • Soap Or Metho for Varroa Washes?
  • An Excellent new recipe and lots more

So dont forget to keep an eye out for the email or favourite https://tab.beekeepers.asn.au
